More about Angioplasty
About the Angioplasty

The procedure involves using medical imaging to insert a catheter with a tiny inflatable balloon at the end to your blocked artery. Once in the correct position, the balloon is inflated to widen the artery and improve blood flow by pushing the plaque or the fatty deposits against the wall of the artery. It can be done with a metal tube called a stent which is left inside of the blood vessel to help keep it open.
