About Hernia repair
Hernia repair is a surgical procedure done to correct the bulging of the organs or tissue through the weakest part of the muscle or tissue wall. It is recommended when the bulge can't be pushed back in and causes pain and inconvenience. The surgery helps to relieve pain, return the hernia to its correct place and, strengthen the weak muscle area.
The procedure usually takes about 30-45 minutes and is done on an outpatient basis. The urgency of the procedure depends on the size of the hernia and the symptoms.
