Overview
Eko Kotebe Hospital is the only hospital that is prepared to accept suspected cases of Coronavirus COVID-19. No other hospitals in Addis will accept a suspected COVID-19 case. The Government of Ethiopia has implemented enhanced screening and quarantine measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. If a patient is confirmed to have the virus, they are transferred to the treatment centre for confirmed cases at Eko Kotebe Hospital. One treatment centre is for suspected cases and the other for severe and critical cases. The centres each have respirator machines. The five-floor building that provides services of mental health with 150 beds and general medical services with 200 beds has been built with a total cost of 160 million Birr.
